The fall version of the CrossFit Open is upon us. For some of you, this is an important time to test your fitness. For others, it’s a great time to connect with your community, get in some workouts, have some good quality fun on a Friday night. Your coaches and I have tossed around a lot of ways to run the Open this year, and we’ve decided that keeping it simple is the best way to roll.
Beginning this Friday (and every Friday through November 8th), we will gather together to perform a workout programmed by CrossFit HQ and share some food potluck style. No teams or themes…just fitness, community, and sharing of food and friendship. We will run the workouts all day and offer heats with appropriate spacing starting at 5 PM. As always, the coaching staff will be prepared with warm ups, scaled movements or modifications, and we will coach you through the workouts. And if you are registered for the CrossFit Open through crossfit.com, we will also help get you a judge for your workout so that you can submit an official score.
Come prepared to workout or just to socialize. Bring some food and/or beverages to share. We will provide plates, cups, utensils, and paper goods. This is a GREAT opportunity to connect with some old friends, make some new ones, and get a little deeper engaged with the Catacombs community.
