I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and the winter weather. We are running regular classes this week although our coaching line up is a little different. We will NOT have Saturday or Sunday classes this weekend, but will have Open Gym on Saturday. I am in town but spending a little more time with my family and a little less time at the gym over the holidays. I appreciate the rest of the coaching staff stepping up to allow me this break and will be back in full force on January 2nd. Feel free to reach out if you need anything…I am not far away.
Many of you have been working through the strength cycle with us over the last 6 weeks. We will be retesting 1-rep maxes on Monday, December 26th. If you will not be able to make it in on Monday, please take advantage of Open Gym on Saturday the 24th or the 31st. Our coaches will be glad to take you through this during Open Gym. You’ve done the work, so don’t miss the opportunity to measure your progress. Then, write them in your log book so you have numbers to work with going into 2017.
Speaking of 2017, let me make another pitch for our Goal Setting session on December 31st. It’s a great opportunity to come together with your community and set the tone for the new year. Goals are motivating and they keep you on track when the newness wears off and you are back in the grind. Give some thought ahead of time to what you want to accomplish and let’s work together to refine them in milestones and come up with a plan. The session is free and we will have log books available for purchase at the session for $15. If you need some accountability and structure to help make your goals happen, check out our new Six Pack program with 30 minute one-on-one skill sessions customized to your needs.
Finally, the Holiday Party is Friday, December 30 at 5:30 PM. There will be no 6 PM class on December 30 because everyone will be at Macho’s for the holiday party! Don’t forget to bring a new pair of socks for our sock exchange. And, because many of you have asked for it, the 3rd annual 12 Days of Christmas workout will be held all day on Friday. Don’t miss it.
