Congrats to the scores of Catacombs athletes that represented this weekend. We had a dozen athletes that completed the Iron Horse on Saturday, a few that completed the Narrow Gauge 10 mile run on Sunday, and 40 that completed Memorial Day Murph today! Way to put your fitness to work this weekend crew. I couldn’t be more proud of your accomplishments. There are more than I can possibly mention, but you know who you are.
As of today, we will begin posting workouts online. I resisted doing this for the first year because I believe very strongly that the workouts you want to do the least are the ones you need to do the most. I encourage you to “eat your vegetables” and not skip the ones that you don’t want to do. You will be a better athlete and a better person for working your weaknesses and showing up even when the workout has every single one of your least favorite movements. As always, we will scale for every athlete and I promise you that your coaches will make sure you leave better off for having shown up.
So why now? We are getting ready to raise our game as a gym and challenge you to raise your game as an athlete. We will be rolling out workout tracking capabilities as well as migrating to a new way to sign up for classes and manage your accounts. These are all part of growing up as a gym but also are designed to help you track your progress as athletes and support each other better as a community. Stay tuned for more on this and be patient with us through the change.
